L&Q is launching 10 Shared Ownership one, two and three-bedroom apartments at Bow East, offering first-time buyers the chance to purchase in one of East London’s most ambitious regeneration zones.

Part of the 10 -year Bromley-by-Bow Masterplan, which will deliver 8,000 homes and 624,000 sq ft of offices, waterfront restaurants, cafes and shops, on the banks of the River Lea, L&Q’s new homes offer buyers the chance to see the best of this regeneration and get on to the property ladder.

London buyers are already rushing to Bow, confirmed by statistics revealing it to be one of London’s top 5 busiest micro-markets.* Prices have mirrored this increased demand, rising by 16% since 2015, inevitably pricing out many first-time buyers from Bow.**

Gavin Stewart, Sales and Customer Services Director for L&Q’s East Region, comments: “As more Londoners discover Bow’s fantastic commuting links and increasingly vibrant social scene, it becomes harder for young professionals and families to find affordable housing in the area. Through our Shared Ownership scheme, we are offering a real opportunity to these buyers, with deposits starting at under £10,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, and monthly payments often lower than renting in the area.”

Interiors are finished to a high standard, with select duplex apartments offering floor-to-ceiling windows and terraces. Kitchens from Symphony’s Koncept range feature integrated appliances from Electrolux and Zanussi, whilst bathrooms are fitted with white Roca sanitaryware sitting against porcelain tiling.

Indicative of the cultural and artistic opportunities transforming the area, L&Q residents will be neighbours with Bow Arts; an established cultural space supporting over 500 artists which offers yoga classes, film screenings, and a large calendar of performance art. For a taste of Bow’s rich heritage, nearby Roman Road Market, dating back over 150-years, sells local produce alongside artisan street food vendors, offering the East London lifestyle ever-popular with the capital’s first-time buyers.

Residents can also enjoy nearby Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with its world-class sporting and entertainment venues. Westfield Stratford City is 12 minutes away, offering some 300 shops and 70 places to eat, as well as a 17-screen cinema and luxury bowling alley. For green space, the 86-acre Victoria Park and Olympic Park offer picturesque locations for a weekend stroll.

Well connected to nearby transport links, Bow East is only a 4-minute walk from Bow Church DLR station and 8-minute walk from Bow Road tube station, serviced by the District and Hammersmith and City lines. Similarly, nearby Stratford station offers national and international services, and upcoming Elizabeth Line will increase connectivity further.

A wide selection of top-performing schools are close by, including the Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Colegrave Primary School, Mossbourne Riverside Primary Academy and Chobham Academy. Tertiary education opportunities are also available at nearby Newham College, University of East London and Loughborough’s state-of-the-art postgraduate campus in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Prices start from £91,250 for 25% share of a 1-bedroom apartment (FMV: £365,000).
