On Saturday 26th September, Catalyst are due to launch the final six one-bedroom apartments at Aspire at St Bernard’s Gate in Hanwell, the last chance to buy at this heritage-rich development in West London.

Adjacent to the Grade II Listed St Bernard’s Chapel, one of the historic buildings which characterise the development, the stand-alone building of six apartments offers each homeowner a private balcony or terrace, open-plan kitchen/living/dining space, and views of the neighbouring historic buildings.

Alongside the chapel, the Grade II Listed North House and gatehouse arch anchor the new development to the historic site, interspersed by stretches of greenery interweaving between Catalyst’s new homes.

Each available through Help to Buy, first-time buyers will be able to purchase a home at Aspire at St Bernard’s Gate with a government equity loan of up to 40%, and a 5% deposit. Catalyst will also provide a 5% deposit contribution, reducing the size of mortgage required by the purchaser,  making these apartments more financially attainable.

Markus Kendall-Young, Group Head of Marketing and Sales at Catalyst, comments, “Hanwell is somewhat of a hidden gem in West London, only a short bus journey from Ealing yet considerably more affordable. You still have the area’s much-loved green spaces, retail and dining options and transport connections, but don’t have to compromise on your home to enjoy them. Aspire at St Bernard’s Gate is a particularly special development thanks to its historic charm, which is a rarity for new-build developments, and often commands a significant price premium. Given the affordability and uniqueness of these last six bedroom apartments, we anticipate they’ll go quick.”

Spacious open-plan apartments feature floor to ceiling windows, allowing natural light to flood the living area, whilst select bedrooms include enviable walk-in wardrobes. Kitchens have stylish solid resin worktops and integrated appliances, while bathrooms are fitted with contemporary Roca sanitaryware. For added peace of mind, all homes come with a video entrance phone system providing extra security. Bicycle and motorbike storage is included, and parking spaces are available to purchase separately.

For transport connections, Hanwell station is an 11-minute walk away, where trains to London Paddington take just 14 minutes. The future Crossrail routes will further improve connections from Hanwell station, cutting journey times to Bond Street to 15 minutes and journeys to Liverpool Street to 22 minutes. For underground connections, nearby Boston Manor underground station is served by the Piccadilly line, whilst Ealing Broadway sits on the Central and District line.

As well as private sale one-bedroom apartments, Catalyst have a selection of two bedroom homes available through both Shared Ownership or Help to Buy.

Prices for the new one-bedroom apartments start from £365,000 with Help to Buy.
