Selecta is launching a new Foodies-on-the-go MicroMarket, an unattended retail solution at East Croydon station from 14th July.
Foodies is the innovative MicroMarket solution providing fresh and delicious, premium food choices.
Whether commuters are after breakfast on the move, early lunch with colleagues, or returning from work late, Foodies is a fresh, exciting food experience that fits their schedule and provides high-quality snacks and meals 24-hours-a-day.
Foodies offers:
· Hundreds of healthy and fresh, hot and cold food and drink combinations, fitting the latest food trends and influenced by regional habits and preferences
· 24/7 accessibility
· Safety and hygiene, with individually packaged foods and contactless payment
· The latest food technology including smart fridges and free-standing coffee machines
· Sustainable packaging and responsible sourcing of ingredients
Selecta’s smart fridges are an alternative 24-hour, self-serve concept that suits any location. By using scan and contactless payment, the fridges unlock allowing you to take any product you want as the scales register what you remove.
The coffee machines will contain options from Pelican Rouge Coffee Roasters – Selecta’s own roastery – of Belgian heritage, which has been running since 1863. Selecta looks after everything from sourcing to roasting, to blending and serving to create high-quality coffee.
The Foodies on-the-go MicroMarket is replacing Pumpkin cafés at the station on a three-month trial and if successful may remain permanently and be rolled out across 100 other UK stations.
