has announced the launch of , which is taking place from June 12 – 16. Uplift is focused on helping educate, enable, and empower non-profits around the world with the skills and technology they need to make an impact with social media. This virtual weeklong event will feature experts from world renowned non-profit organisations and tech companies. Hootsuite’s own social marketing team will also be on hand to help answer live questions from attendees.
“Social media plays a critical role in helping non-profit organisations reach supporters of their cause, deliver help when needed, and inspire people to take action,” said Eva Taylor, Director, Social Impact at Hootsuite. “We are excited to build upon our HootGiving Program for non-profits with the addition of Uplift, a free week of educational sessions to help non-profits succeed on social and advance their cause.”
To develop the event agenda, Hootsuite’s Social Impact team recently surveyed over 2,000 non-profits to determine what they struggle with most on social media, as well as their key priorities. This data helped to inform each of the five daily sessions.
“The top three objectives identified by non-profits using social media are; to generate awareness and action for their cause, to connect with clients of their programmes, and to fundraise,” said Laura Zubick, Social Impact Manager at Hootsuite. “Not surprisingly, these teams report their greatest challenge is finding the dedicated time to actually deliver a strategy that will meet these objectives, and also share a key challenge faced by social media marketers across industries – consistently ideating and delivering quality content. Uplift will bring together speakers excelling in these areas to share tangible examples and tools that allow non-profits to do more good on social with the time and resources they have available.”
While the event has been created with non-profit organisations in mind, everyone is welcome to attend and can register here:
