  • Data analysts have studied 5 years of weather data in the UK and discovered a pattern for heatwaves.

  • The heatwave dates have been released publicly and the average temperatures are consistently above 24°C.

Travel analysts have studied the past five years worth of weather data in the UK and found a pattern occurring for heatwaves.

The analysts at UK holiday park provider, Parkdean Resorts, have discovered three dates which have recurring heatwaves above 24°C, every year for five years in a row. The holiday brand has released the dates publicly

This means that in 2024, selecting dates for a sunny staycation, booking annual leave and planning family and friend barbecues will no longer be a guessing game, as they have revealed exactly when heatwaves are expected to grace the UK in 2024, backed by science.

The study analysed the months between May and September and the average temperatures every day for the past five years.

With 2,000 online searches in the UK in the past month alone for “when will it get hot?”, Brits have been eagerly anticipating the answer, and it’s right here…
