As the queen of country is in London, dining increases across the city

Over the past two weeks, the queen of country has taken over Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for six nights of standout performances.* OpenTable data reveals an increase in London dining on five nights of her tour, June 5th (5%), June 7th (18%), June 10th (5%), June 12th (8%) and June 14th (8%) year-over-year.**  

OpenTable’s new consumer research also supports this trend: 79% of Brits (and 83% of Londoners) typically dine out before or after concerts, suggesting a significant opportunity for London’s restaurant scene during one of the year’s biggest tours.***

The UK’s concertgoers aren’t just hungry for music – they’re hungry for dining experiences. Further research found***:

  • 59% of Brits and 65% of Londoners are planning to go to a concert this year.
  • The majority (78%) of Brits would travel outside of their city for a concert.
  • Of those dining out pre/post a concert, 46% are likely to spend more on meals than usual. Plus, 54% choose restaurants that connect to the artist’s culture, music, or aesthetic.
  • In London, 47% are more likely to spend more on meals and 58% are likely to choose a restaurant based on connection to an artist.

**OpenTable Data: OpenTable looked at online seated diners in London restaurants active on the OpenTable platform on 5th, 7th, 10th, 12th and 14th June 2025, and compared it to the corresponding dates in 2024 (6th, 8th, 11th, 13th and 15th June)
