Dragon Boat Festival at Bang Bang Oriental

From Monday 4 June 2018 until Tuesday 19 June 2018, London’s largest Asian foodhall Bang Bang Oriental will be hosting a two week Dragon Boat Festival.

The festival will feature an exhibition where guests can visit free of charge to view the colourful dragon boat on display at the foodhall. The dragon boat has been donated by Race The Dragon ( www.racethedragon.com ) and will be on display for guests to view and photograph. Guests will also be able to visit the mini exhibition to learn about the Dragon Boat Festival and the history behind it.

Dragon Boat Racing has ancient Chinese origins and its history has been traced back for more than 2000 years. Racing was held to avert misfortune and encourage the rains needed for prosperity – as the dragon of Asia is a symbol of water.

Bang Bang Oriental, which opened in North London in 2017, is thrilled to be hosting its inaugural Dragon Boat Festival.

The eco-friendly venue brings a pan-Asian culinary experience and cultural entertainment concept to the capital. Bang Bang Oriental encompasses a food court, restaurant, and community space – all under one roof.

North London’s hottest new destination celebrates Asia’s vibrant culture with 27 individual kiosks offering an eclectic mix of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Malaysian Thai, Hong Kong, and Filipino cuisine, as well as a bar for refreshments and alcoholic beverages. This sophisticated and affordable food court brings the energy and authentic vibe of an Asian Street Food Market to London.

The venue is open Monday to Thursday from Noon until 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 11.30am until 10.30pm and Sunday from 11.30am until 9.30pm. Three hours of free parking is available.
