AllClear Travel Insurance has been confirmed as the new sponsor of Sky News Weather. The year-long sponsorship, which begins this month, will see AllClear featured every hour throughout the day in Sky News’ live TV weather reports across the UK.
The new deal sees AllClear replace the previous sponsor, which had partnered with Sky News for more than two decades. The agreement, brokered by Sky Media and Medialab, represents the largest sponsorship investment AllClear has made to date.
The partnership reflects the growing importance of weather coverage in daily life, as audiences increasingly rely on trusted forecasts amid more frequent extreme weather events, travel disruption and climate-related uncertainty. Sky News’ audience closely aligns with AllClear’s core customer base with the sponsorship helping to build both reach and credibility.
In 2025, Sky News was named News Channel of the Year for the eighth consecutive year, with Sophy Ridge also recognised as Presenter of the Year at the RTS Journalism Awards.
Bhavek Rughani, Head of Marketing at AllClear Travel Insurance, said: “Weather has become more central to how people plan, travel and make decisions. From heatwaves and flooding to travel disruption, it’s no longer background information – it’s something people actively follow and rely on. Sponsoring the Sky News weather means we are present in a moment of genuine public interest, alongside coverage people trust. It’s a natural fit for a brand built around reassurance, trust and preparedness.”
Karin Seymour, Director of Client & Marketing for Sky Media commented “Discussing the weather is part of our cultural identity here in the UK, so we’re thrilled to have AllClear Travel insurance join the conversation by sponsoring Sky News’ trusted and award-winning weather reports.”
