Since 2015, cosmetic clinic Aesthetics Lab has been based in Primrose Hill and built a strong client base, attracting clients from across London and the UK. Last month they opened their second clinic which will allow them to provide their award-winning services to a greater number of clients in two locations.
Located on Elizabeth Street in Belgravia, the new Aesthetics Lab clinic has been something the founders have been working on for many years. Co-founder and Director Tania Zahoor Rashid explained that “plans of expansion were always on the table, however, the COVID 19 pandemic delayed those” but that they are now able to “open our second location to cater to ever increasing demand as well as requests from customers to open a more central location.”
Due to the success of their first clinic, Aesthetics Lab found they had outgrown their original Primrose Hill location and needed a second clinic so they could introduce new services and create more availability.
Identifying Belgravia as the desired location for a second clinic was not a decision taken at random, with the process to find the right location taking a couple of years according to Mrs Rashid. “Of course, it wasn’t a straightforward task to secure a premises there (Elizabeth Street) but we were lucky to find the unit pre-pandemic and for it to be still available in 2021.” Interestingly, Mrs Rashid explained that Belgravia and Elizabeth Street had been considered way back in 2013 when the business was looking for a location for the first clinic and while it didn’t work out then, they always kept the location in mind for a potential second clinic further down the line.
As with so many other businesses the events of 2020 raised concerns and questions for Aesthetics Lab going forward. “We were worried about sustaining the existing clinic,” Mrs Rashid explained. “Being a close contact service business we had to be closed during all three lockdowns, which was very difficult given the high fixed costs our business carries.” However, Aesthetics Lab worked hard to maintain its close relationship with clients during the lockdowns, offering virtual consultations for advice, meaning that they could pick up where they left off before the pandemic and continue to grow their client base.
Opening this second clinic has not been without its challenges. Coordinating building work in a listed building, which is the case for their new clinic, results in a huge amount of care and attention to detail needing to be taken, along with a lot of paperwork! Alongside this, Aesthetics Lab had to recruit new staff members with the relevant experience and customer service ability that their existing clients have come to expect from their award-winning Primrose Hill clinic.
When asked how they overcame the challenges of opening their second clinic, Mrs Rashid explained it was down to three things, “research, hard work and sleepless nights!”
To celebrate the opening of their new Belgravia clinic Aesthetics Lab is offering a special offer for August where clients can purchase a course of treatments and get a second half price.
