Epsom and St Helier hospitals each received a Christmas tree donation from Barratt London, the housebuilder responsible for the New Mill Quarter development on Hackbridge Road in Sutton. Each hospital was gifted a 7ft tree to help bring festive cheer to staff, patients, and visitors.
The tree at St Helier stands proudly outside the main entrance, whilst at Epsom the tree can be found in the lobby of the Headley Wing. For decoration, patients and staff were invited to leave memory tags on the trees remembering their loved ones, alongside the traditional lights and baubles.
Sasha Phillips, Charity Manager from Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity said: “We’d like to thank Barratt London for its generous donations. It’s really important for us to capture the spirit of Christmas within the hospitals’ walls, making them look bright and colourful for those who are with us during the festive period.”
Pam Reardon, Sales and Marketing Director at Barratt East London, comments: “During the last two years we have all become more aware of the important role played by our local NHS services. We hope these donations will serve as a small gesture of thanks for their hard work, and help to bring the Christmas spirit to both patients and those working on the wards.”
Barratt London is currently running a Key Worker Deposit Scheme, which offers new homebuyers who work under the Key Worker banner including NHS staff, a contribution of £750 for every £250,000 spent on the overall cost of the property, up to a maximum of £15,000.
