In celebration of National Fitness Day, which takes place on Wednesday 22nd September, Absolutely Fitness is encouraging the local community to kickstart a new fitness routine by offering free access to its Langley, Slough and Bracknell gyms, in return for an any amount donation to local charity Absolutely Together.
Absolutely Fitness is giving free access for the whole week from Monday 20th September so people can try its state-of-the-art facilities, which include a ladies-only gym, functional training zone, fitness classes and in excess of 150 pieces of equipment.
In addition, those who become gym members during the week will benefit from a discount and will not pay the £30 joining fee, and if visitors join the staff in dressing up as superheroes, they will receive a month’s free use.
There will also be competitions and raffles at each gym giving visitors and members the chance to win a range of prizes. All the money raised throughout the week will be donated to Absolutely Together, which works with families who have children and young adults with additional needs. It aims to put thousands of smiles on faces across the county by giving free access to leisure activities they can take part in as a family – something that is not always possible due to financial or physical restrictions.
Sandra Grochowska, Club Manager at Absolutely Fitness in Slough, commented:
“During the Covid-19 lockdowns many people saw their physical activity drop, so we’re using National Fitness Day to encourage people to get going again, or start a new active lifestyle. The aim of the day, and something we are extending for the whole week, is to highlight the importance and benefits that come with being active and leading a healthy lifestyle.”
Harry Smith, Club Manager at Absolutely Fitness in Bracknell and Langley, added:
“Everyone at Absolutely Fitness believes that being active should be fun. We’re delighted to be involved in National Fitness Day by offering free use, in exchange for a small donation to Absolutely Together. We look forward to welcoming people through the doors, whether that’s to develop a personal fitness programme or to take part in one of our classes.”
Absolutely Fitness has a number of safety measures in place to ensure those using its facilities can enjoy a safe and welcoming environment. These include asking all visitors to adhere to the hygiene and safety rules, and the regular cleaning of touch points and equipment.
Those wishing to make use of Absolutely Fitness in Langley for free during the week will need to book a time slot by calling 01753 545649. No booking is required for Absolutely Fitness in Bracknell or Slough.
