Both London City Royals and Worcester Wolves picked up their second wins of the BBL Cup campaign Saturday night.
Following their win last week over 2018-19 BBL Cup champions London Lions, Worcester managed to edge hosts Surrey Scorchers, 77-83.
Cortez Edwards, who was the winner of the benecos Play of the Week last week, led the way for Wolves with 22 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Newbie Jordan Williams was also key in Wolves’ victory, picking up a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds.
In the capital, the London City Royals also picked up their second win in their first home game of the season, demolishing Bristol Flyers 84-57.
GB International Andrew Lawrence continued to impress as he picked up a double-double for himself with 19 points and 12 rebounds, and was also assisted by his fellow newbie teammate Matthew Scott, picking up 20 points and an additional eight rebounds.
