Children from a Bromley school have returned from a six-day ski trip to Italy, marking the 20th year of the bi-annual excursion.
Nearly 40 boys and five members of staff from Bickley Park School travelled to Sestriere, Italy, which hosted the Winter Olympics in 2006.
The trip formed part of school’s Sport and Outdoor Education Quadrant which aims to build leaders, team skills and resilience as well as encouraging the students to undertake new challenges.
After spending 25 hours each on the slopes, the boys also enjoyed après-ski activities including swimming and a celebratory disco.
Headmaster, Patrick Wenham, said: “The ski trip fits in with our broader excursion programme we have put in place, which includes Adventure School for Years 3-8 in the UK and overseas trips, such as next year’s Performing Arts visit to New York. The boys had a wonderful time and have returned with new skills and a sense of achievement.”
