Local housebuilder, Barratt London has teamed up with four children’s hospices across the capital: Noah’s Ark in Barnet, Demelza in Eltham, Shooting Star in Hampton and Richard House in East Ham, to design charity Christmas cards for its staff members this festive season.
Children under the care of each charity were challenged to put their artistic skills to the test and create festive drawings fit for a winning Christmas card. Once designed, the cards were then sold to Barratt London staff across its developments and head offices, with all proceeds donated to the participating hospices.
Anna McGrath, Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager from Noah’s Ark hospice comments: “We welcome any opportunities for the children to get creative, particularly at this time of year, and they all had so much fun designing the cards. We want to sincerely thank Barratt London for spreading the Christmas cheer and for helping us to support more babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell, and their families, to make the most of every day.”
In addition to the money raised by the Christmas cards, Barratt London also provided book donations to each hospice. The books included range from traditional Christmas reads, to touch and feel books for those who struggle with literacy, or who enjoy a more interactive experience.
