Cook My Grub seeks foodies and professional chefs in Ealing
Innovative new food tech platform has launched in Ealing
23rd November 2021: UK-based business, Cook My Grub – which is the UK’s leading marketplace for home-cooked food that cannot be found on the high street – is seeking amateur foodies and professional chefs to join its innovative platform in Ealing.
The launch of the platform in Ealing will provide a unique opportunity for food enthusiasts to earn between £500 – £750 per week by setting up their own home food business within their local community, with the opportunity to earn more following additional awareness of the platform.
In addition to new chefs, Cook My Grub is on a mission to give Ealing professional chefs an opportunity to start their own business after the COVID-19 pandemic left the hospitality sector in disarray.
As part of Cook My Grub’s Hygiene Promise, every new chef that joins the platform is trained in allergy awareness and Hygiene Level 2, and supported with all local council registrations, providing new learning and development opportunities for local cooks.
The launch in Ealing is part of a major expansion drive by the leading brand, which is being executed after the founders received overwhelming investment interest – exceeding their initial fundraising target by 150% and raising over £750,000 in just four weeks.
The founders, Dinesh Patil and Shabbir Mookhtiar, said: “We are thrilled to be launching in Ealing. Our first step is finding a whole range of talented cooks that want to sell their authentic, hearty food to nearby, hungry diners. You don’t need to be a professional chef. If you’ve ever considered starting a restaurant or selling your own family recipes to others in your community, now is your chance!
“We’re seeking to build healthier, happier and wealthier communities across the UK, and those who run independent artisan cafes or food trucks can get involved too, as our innovative marketplace provides a quick, easy and cost-effective route for getting your outstanding food delivered to consumers nearby.”
How does it work?
Cook My Grub’s pioneering platform allows home chefs to develop personal profiles before preparing healthy meals that are delivered to their locals’ doors. It is an industry-first and is expected to consolidate the home-cooked food market by providing a simple and user-friendly structure to an otherwise disorganised sector.
Upon opening the platform, customers are presented with a wide selection of cuisines from home chefs who have set up their own food business, which provide the flexibility to decide when, what and how much they cook. Customers can order on the day or pre-order several days or even weeks in advance before enjoying their meal, secure in the knowledge that their food has been safely prepared within the confines of the Food Standard Authority’s framework.
“As well as fueling our geographical expansion across the South East, the South West and parts of the Midlands, we’ll be investing the funds we’ve raised into growing our technology team, which implements the industry leading cloud, AI and Machine Learning solutions required to connect our talented chefs with local diners,” said Dinesh and Shabbir.
