Disc golf to launch in Hemel Hempstead

Little Hay Golf Complex is delighted to be bringing disc golf to Hemel Hempstead when it launches the new experience on Thursday 6^th July.

Disc golf players complete a hole by throwing a disc from a tee to a target. With similar rules to the traditional game of golf, the player continues to throw a disc until the target is met, with each competitor trying to complete a hole in the lowest number of throws.

Little Hay Golf Complex is part of the charity Absolutely Together, which provides families who have children and young adults with additional needs free access to exciting activities that they may otherwise be unable to enjoy. The charity has received a donation from Tesco Community Grants, which enabled the disc golf equipment to be purchased.

In addition to the new disc golf course being open to the local community, Little Hay will also provide free access to the course to families who are supported by Absolutely Together.

“We’re delighted to be launching our 9-hole disc golf course at Little Hay Golf Complex and bringing something completely new to the town. We already have the popular foot golf available, so this is an additional family-friendly activity for people to enjoy, and we look forward to welcoming our first players to the course.

“Disc golf is an extremely accessible and inclusive activity and can be enjoyed by those with additional needs. This means that all members of a family can take part in an outdoor leisure activity together, something that is not always possible due to physical or monetary restrictions, and Absolutely Together will be providing free access for the families it supports.”

Disc golf is ideally suited to those aged six and above. A game of disc golf at Little Hay Golf Complex will cost £7.50 for adults, £6 for seniors and £4 for juniors. A family of four can play for £17.50. Bookings will be able to be made via the Little Hay website – https://littlehaygolf.co.uk/ – once the course opens.
