The Plant Hub, a brand-new space coming to East London in January 2019 is set to revolutionise the way we see, eat and understand vegetables after the huge success of their Kickstarter which saw 126 backers raising £20,999.

Dubbed the new incubator for nurturing plant curiosity, The Plant Hub’s new Academy perfectly encapsulates the wants and needs of the modern consumer and have a jam-packed calendar, filled with seasonal and nutritional delights and mini taster classes, with a huge discount, to kick start Veganuary in style. Classes range from “Good Morning Smoothie Classes”to “Afternoon Tea Workshops”and “Dinner and Kombucha Cocktails” from as little as £10 per person.

Created by plant-based chef, entrepreneur and former PlantLab instructor Lauren Lovatt alongside Salad Pride author and founder of Pride Kitchen David Bez, The Plant Hub bared its project on Kickstarter last month which went above and beyond their target and are excited to open their doors for the very first time.

“This has been a dream of ours for so long – a place where we can create not only a space for education and experience but also a community that is nurturing, kind and ultimately life-changing”Co-founder Lauren comments.

“Being curious is key”Lauren goes on to state. “Being around others who are equally as curious and eager to learn, can be so inspiring. The Plant Hub is an opportunity to become a part of an inclusive and supportive community that not only inspires health and creativity but also teaches vital life skills in a dynamic plant powered way.”

Seasonality, community and locality are at the heart of everything The Plant Hub does, and each course taken at The Plant Academy will focus only on the most important topics within the realms of the plant-based industry taught by Lauren and David themselves alongside trained chefs, professional nutritionists and influential plant-based leaders; supporting local producers and suppliers.

January’s events welcome guest chefs Niki Webster from RebelRecipes a vegan chef and blogger with over 220k followers, River Cottage teacher Rachel de Thample as well as veggie nude life drawing classes with a real-life aubergine protecting the modesty of their models and enhancing the experience for their drawers.

Each month will host a wild variety of nutritional and seasonal classes and taster days from the talented The Plant Hub’s team and their community of professional and aspirational foodies within the industry.
