Light Up the Sky: Over 1200 Residents Enjoy Barking Riverside and Thames View Community Fireworks

Barking Riverside London welcomed over 1200 local residents to the Barking Riverside and Thames View Community Fireworks Display on Tuesday 6^th November.

A group of Pupil Ambassadors from Riverside Primary School led the countdown for the 13 minute display, which was completely free for local residents.

Sponsored by The Careys Foundation and L&Q, the event took place at the Barking Riverside Project Office, where several local suppliers were selling hot food, sweets and hot drinks, and a DJ entertained the crowds before the display.

Ahead of the fireworks themselves, L&Q also hosted an informal welcome reception at the new Sales Suite, where Pupil Ambassadors and their families were invited to drop-in for a warming hot chocolate.

We look forward to hosting a programme of events for local people here on site in 2019 and beyond!”
