With Mother’s Day just around the corner (27th March), North East botanical drinks brewers, Fentimans, have compiled a survey of the nation to reveal what the UK call their Mothers.
The results indicate:
- Over half of the UK call their mother ‘Mum’.
- Northern Ireland has the highest proportion of ‘Mammy’s’ in the UK.
- 7% of those in London use ‘Mummy’.
- The Midlands use the America term ‘Mom’ on average.
I have attached the infographic and the link to the findings here.
