monday.com selects London for first international tech academy, monday U

Work operating system (Work OS) monday.com is proud to announce its training academy monday U is expanding globally, with London chosen as the location for the first international training programme. Registration is now open for a 3-week business development certification programme which will focus on partnership development and sales in tech.

Since the start of monday.com, the company’s leadership has always been driven to give back. As part of this,  in November of 2021, they launched monday U, an academic focused initiative to support bridging the gap between talented individuals and the high-tech industry at large.

monday U began with three pilot programmes across business development, recruitment, and customer success and until now, it has been based out of monday.com’s Tel Aviv offices. To date, they have launched more than 10 successful programmes and in October 2021, the first sales training course resulted in half of participants landing a job at monday.com. Now the programme is officially expanding its mission internationally, starting with London.

Bosmat Ben Tzvi, Programme lead at monday.com’s  Tel Aviv office, has worked to build the London Business Development training programme which includes 35 hours of classes and hands on workshops, resulting in a certification to which allows entrants to apply for a multitude of high tech roles. The sessions during the programme  include:

  • Week 1 – Intro to business development and client scoping

  • Week 2 – Connect with customers and building solutions

  • Week 3 – Partner recruitment and onboarding and partner management

Each week, students will work with a variety of experts across monday.com to develop their skill set and knowledge for whatever career path they choose next.

As investment into the tech industry continues to grow, the demand for talent is increasing at a rapid pace. Last year it was reported that the demand for tech jobs was 42% higher in June 2021 than at the same time in 2019, and this number will only  increase. As a result of this, monday.com recognised a need to upskill their own workforce and support companies in filling these roles with qualified candidates. Entrants to the programme will go from having little to no exposure to the tech ecosystem to having the theoretical and practical knowledge they need to launch their career and land a job at a tech company.

Registration is now open here for the 3-week Business Development hybrid programme, with one day a week taking place virtually while the other days in their newly established London office in the heart of Fitzrovia. Application portal closes on May 25th with the academy commencing on June 15th until July 8th
