Richmond Charity Drive to Deliver Over 200 Meals for those in Need this Christmas

Food tech start-up, Cook My Grub, has announced an initiative that’s expected to provide over 200 meals to those in need this Christmas. The campaign has been launched in partnership with locally-based, SPEAR London – a charity for people experiencing homelessness in South West London. The initiative aims to raise awareness of the incredible work the charity does in the local community.

Running from the 1^st through to 24^th December, the UK’s leading marketplace for home-cooked food has pledged to deliver one home-cooked meal for every £25 spent on the platform. 

The founders Dinesh Patil and Shabbir Mookhtiar, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with a number of outstanding charities that make a real difference in their local community. As well as supporting SPEAR London, Cook My Grub will also be donating meals to a number of other charities across the South East, including Browns Community Services (Maidenhead), People to Places (Maidenhead), Binfield Lighthouse Programme (Bracknell) and The Salvation Army (Slough).

To encourage even more orders through the app, and more free meals for their chosen charities, the Cook My Grub team has also launched a bespoke Christmas offering this year, with diners able to order their very own home-cooked Christmas dinner through the platform.
