Spitalfield Market, Oxford and Regent Streets, Tower of London, Harrods… With so much to see and hundreds of exclusive shopping locations across London, your search for the best could waste hours of precious time.

So, before diving headfirst into the city without a plan, let us take a look at the best shopping areas in and around London.

Borough Market

Establishing its incredible reputation for global food from 1756, Borough Market is a must-see when in London. Not only is Borough Market internationally recognised as the go-to place to celebrate the ways in which food connects us to one other, the historic setting has an equally unique story to tell.

A trip to Borough Market will deliver so much excitement across more than 100 stalls, stands, restaurants, bars and shops.

The Royal Exchange

If you’re looking for a luxury boutique with an extra little something, you won’t want to miss this spot. From exhibitions to dining to shopping for jewellery to footwear, they have it all at The Royal Exchange. The downloadable version of their boutiques map ensures you won’t run out of fancy shops, or get lost, during your trip.

If you’re after something tasty but no less stylish, The Royal Exchange also has four dining venues to choose from: The Grind Café-Bar that transforms into a cocktail bar at night, Fortnum’s Bar and Restaurant (also available for private dining), Ladurée Boutique, and Oeno House Boutique and Tasting Room.

Oxford Street

This is one of the busiest streets in the world for a reason. Not only does it make an excellent reference point, but it also boasts an array of shops huge enough to satisfy even the seasoned shopaholic. Highlights include renowned retail and department stores such as John Lewis and Debenhams, as well as top fashion brands like Hugo Boss and Reiss.

Westfield Shopping Centre

Westfield Shopping Centre is the largest shopping centre in England, so you can certainly shop to your heart’s content. And when you inevitably drop, consider staying in a hotel near Westfield Shopping Centre to get some well-earned rest! We all know how much energy shopping can zap, especially when you do it right.

Camden Market

The Market started with just 16 stalls in 1974, increasing in popularity until today where it’s the largest market in London and is open every day of the week. The markets are one of London’s largest attractions.

This market sees 100,000 visitors every weekend alone, and spans 280 stalls and 54 shops. Looking out to the wider Camden area, the neighbourhood boasts over 24,000 shops which generate 275,000 jobs a year, as well as £1.2 billion in revenue for the borough.

An eclectic mix of stores and stalls selling vintage, original fashion, hand-crafted accessories, unique gifts and everything in between, you’ll definitely find at least one thing to your liking at Camden Market.

Camden Tea Company, Oddballs, Manomay, Black Gull Books, Solid Cologne just to name a few. Nowhere else will you find such a combination of unique shops, cafes and stalls.
