One of Tottenham’s best-loved pubs is set to unveil its stunning new look this month, as the Ferry Boat Inn re-opens its doors on Friday 6th December following a £250,000 re-fit.
Located on Ferry Lane, the 17th century building – which still retains some original features – has refreshed its cosy and traditional feel, boosting its appeal as Tottenham’s best riverside location to enjoy classic pub grub and great drinks. The revamp has also upgraded its huge beer garden, which will be the go-to place in the area as soon as the weather warms up.
The pub’s menu boasts a wide range of heart-warming meals, showcasing a range of meat, vegetarian and vegan seasonal dishes. Customers can choose from home comforts such as Braised Beef Bourguignon and Roast Lamb Shank alongside a selection of burgers, sandwiches and grills, while the Moving Mountains Burger, Smoked Cheeze & Beetroot Tart and Red Pepper Houmous Open Sandwich are just some of the fabulous meat-free options that will tempt customers.
A refreshing drinks menu will also welcome returning customers. Featuring cask and real ale from local brewery, Redemption, alongside premium ciders and spirits, the pub has everything you need for a great night out. Gin-lovers can even build their own beverage thanks to the pub’s ‘Build your own G&T’ menu, giving them the chance to create a unique serve by selecting their own glass, flavoured tonic, gin blend and garnish!
More cocktails will also bring a smile to customer’s faces, as classics such as the Pornstar Martini, Bramble G&T and the colour-changing English Estate G&Tea will be joined by new choices including Mojito and the delicious Woo Woo. Low and no-alcohol options are also available.
Those with a cause to celebrate can get together around one of the pub’s special Afternoon Teas, which start at just £10 per person; it includes a sandwich selection of Chicken Mayonnaise, Mature Cheddar Cheese and Tuna Mayo and Cucumber alongside sweet treats such as Cookie-Crumb Profiteroles, Chocolate Brownie and Limoncello Drizzle Sponge as well as traditional scones. Guests can also choose from tea, coffee or a choice of prosecco or cocktails to go with their selection.
With a range of deals available throughout the week, the pub promises to bring the best value to all customers. Whether it’s half price pies on Monday, deals on burgers and steaks with drinks every Wednesday and Thursday, or traditional Sunday Roasts at the weekend – guests will be able to make their money go further every time they visit. The pub’s twice weekly quiz (every Wednesday and Sunday from 8pm), with a rollover jackpot to be won, will also challenge locals to get their thinking caps on!
Re-opening in the run up to Christmas, the Ferry Boat Inn’s festive offer promises to get everyone in the jolly sprit. With a range of festive specials to tuck in to, including the Turkey Pie and Festive Turkey, Festive Beef or Vegan Burger, guests can enjoy a hearty meal, whilst raising a toast to Santa Claus with a range of delicious cocktails to choose from. The pub’s two or three course Festive Fayre menu, starting at £18.99, can also be pre-booked, along with the five-course Christmas Day offering at £59.99 per person.
Hannah May, General Manager of the Ferry Boat Inn, said: “This exciting investment will really help to boost our appeal to locals, having refreshed our homely and cosy feel with distinctive features throughout the site. We’ve really listened to our customers and so are excited to be launching a bigger and better cocktail list when we re-open, alongside updating our beer garden so that our loyal customers can truly make the most of it in the New Year. We are really looking forward to showcasing our new look and are sure that the Ferry Boat Inn will continue to be a warm and welcoming pub that the whole community can enjoy.”
