US tariffs not stifling century-old British mattress maker Vispring as it doubles down on America

VISPRING ACCELERATES U.S. EXPANSION WITH 17 NEW LOCATIONS IN 2025

LUXURY BRITISH BEDMAKER VISPRING TARGETS 50% GROWTH & REMAINS RESILIENT AMID TRADE CHANGES

Vispring, the iconic British manufacturer of handcrafted luxury mattresses, is proud to announce the continued expansion of its U.S. retail presence in 2025, with 17 new locations set to open across the country as the brand celebrates rare growth success in the US despite recent tariff changes.

As part of its strategic growth plan, Vispring will open 6 new solus stores, delivering a fully immersive brand experience in key U.S. markets. These will be complemented by a number of shop-in-shop locations in partnership with leading retailers, further strengthening the brand’s reach and accessibility.

“Our presence in the U.S. has never been stronger, and we’re investing with confidence,” said Martin Gill, Managing Director at Vispring. “These new openings are a testament to the growing demand for authentic, high-quality sleep solutions — and our commitment to delivering them.”

Vispring’s ambitious plan to grow by at least 50% in 2025 is well underway, with performance on target and consumer appetite for premium craftsmanship showing no signs of slowing.

Despite recent trade developments, including the introduction of tariffs, Vispring remains undeterred. “We do not view the recently introduced tariffs as a major concern for luxury goods,” said Gill. “Discerning customers continue to seek out quality, handmade products, and Vispring mattresses — crafted with care in our UK workshops — stand apart.”

This strategic expansion strengthens Vispring’s position in the premium bed and mattress market and responds to growing American consumer demand for handcrafted, sustainable luxury sleep products.

“The American market has shown tremendous appreciation for Vispring’s commitment to craftsmanship and natural materials,” said Martin Gill, Managing Director at Vispring. “These six new locations allow us to showcase our bespoke beds in key metropolitan markets while providing the personalised shopping experience our discerning customers expect.”

Strategic market selection

The new U.S. showroom locations were carefully selected to establish Vispring’s presence in diverse regions across the United States, and are led by the opening of showrooms in Orange County in January, New York City and Dallas in June, and Denver, DC and San Diego this autumn.

  • Orange County: Located in the discerning East Coast district in California, the Orange County space showcases the brand’s unwavering dedication to the finest natural materials, bespoke comfort and timeless craftsmanship.
  • New York City: Located in the design district, the Manhattan showroom will serve as Vispring’s East Coast flagship, catering to luxury consumers and the interior design community.
  • Dallas: The Texas showroom capitalises on the region’s robust luxury real estate market and growing demand for premium European brands.

Handcrafted Luxury

Each showroom will feature Vispring’s complete collection of handmade beds, including the iconic Signatory and Diamond Majesty collections. Trained sleep consultants will guide customers through Vispring’s bespoke options, including mattress tensions, fabric selections, and headboard designs.
